Seventh-seed Bowling Green moved into the NCAA Tournament's round of 16 for the first time in school history, holding off a furious rally to edge No. 2 seed Vanderbilt 59-56 in the second round of the Greensboro Regional on Tuesday night.
UNC, which has been No. 1 for three of the past five weeks, finished the season atop the poll, with 30 first-place votes for 774 points. Ohio State (28-2) received the other first-place vote and had 731 points.
