Haas wins by one stroke

Bill Haas made a short birdie putt on the 18th hole to earn his first PGA Tour victory at the Bob Hope Classic, beating Matt Kuchar, Tim Clark and Bubba Watson by one stroke with an 8-under 64.

Watson, Prugh even before final round

Bubba Watson double-bogeyed the final hole in the fourth round at the Bob Hope Classic, dropping him back into a tie with PGA Tour rookie Alex Prugh at 23-under 265 heading into the finale in the five-round event.

Rookie Prugh in first at 21 under

Alex Prugh surged ahead when the sun finally came out at the Bob Hope Classic, shooting a 7-under 65 on the tough La Quinta course to take a one-stroke lead over Bubba Watson and Martin Flores.
