It's only November and there's a lot of season left, but it got a lot more interesting Monday as Stanford stunned two-time defending NCAA champion UConn and snapped the Huskies' 47-game winning streak.
UConn has already had five perfect seasons, but this could be the most historic yet. The Huskies, winners of 46 games in a row, are taking aim at a three-peat and the program's 10th title in Geno Auriemma's 30th season.
With Connecticut, South Carolina and Notre Dame on top of the preseason polls, it's no surprise that trio of teams account for more than half of espnW's preseason first- and second-team All-Americans. UConn led the way with three honorees.
