It's time to take back the meaning of the regular seasons in professional baseball, basketball, hockey and football by cutting down on the number of games.

The showdown at the Congressional hearing Wednesday is really between Roger Clemens and George Mitchell, and as ESPN.com's Howard Bryant writes, somebody is going to take a career-ending, legacy-destroying fall.
