Complete race of the Girls 2011 Foot Locker Cross Country Championships

Nicole Haynes and Rich Gonzalez deliver the best of the penultimate weekend of the 2011 prep XC season, with plenty of thrills at the 8th NXN Finals in Portland and Foot Locker West at Mt. SAC, and look ahead to Saturday's Foot Locker Finals.

Fans enjoyed a typical Super Saturday in prep cross-country last weekend and Nicole Haynes breaks it down and hits all the high points.

Scotts Valley's Vanessa Fraser pulled off a surprise win by 11 seconds (17:46) over defending champion Cami Chapus of Harvard-Westlake (North Hollywood). JSerra caps dream season with tight decision over San Lorenzo Valley, 102-116.

Senior Rebecca Mehra (Palos Verdes) and her favored Sea Kings teammates defeat Granite Hills (Apple Valley), 101-130, and defend their titles. The Stanford-bound Mehra cruised to victory in 17:23, breaking away from Sydney Segal (Beverly Hills) and C

Top-ranked Xavier Prep (Palm Desert) defeats Thacher (Ojai) in a close battle, 65-76. Individually, Alexia Velarde of Marywood-Palm Valley (Rancho Mirage) opened up with a 5:16-mile and holds on to win in 18:04.

Cami Chapus of Harvard-Westlake (Studio City) and JSerra (San Juan Capistrano) repeat as individual and team champs. Chapus PRs in a wire-to-wire victory (17:06), followed by teammate Amy Weissenbach (17:45). JSerra was an easy winner over Mayfield
