For Wake Forest baseball coach Tom Walter, the decision to donate one of his kidneys to a player who hadn't yet even stepped on the field was an easy one.

Wake Forest freshman outfielder Kevin Jordan needed a kidney transplant, soon -- and none of his family members were a suitable match for a donation. That's when his coach, Tom Walter stepped in.
