World Champion Bull Rider Matt Austin's bid for a second straight world title could be in danger. Austin suffered abdominal and groin tears at the Trinity Valley Exposition in Liberty, Texas, on Oct. 19.

The FFA national convention will be in Indianapolis. And so will the reigning champ. Will Austin be able to give his former organization something else to cheer about?

With the top two in the world standings entering the Wrangler NFR (reigning champ Matt Austin and Sonny Murphy) knocked out of the 15-man bull riding field by Round 2, the door was left wide open. During Round 9, B.J. Schumacher slammed it shut.

It's a tough time to be a bull rider in Vegas. The field of 15 at this year's Wrangler NFR was decreased by another as D.J. Domangue suffered a posterior hip dislocation and will join Matt Austin and Sonny Murphy as a spectator.

The last time the Xtreme Bulls Tour stopped in Kissimmee, the cowboys were caught off guard by little-seen stock. And this time it won't be much different which makes it anyone's game including Jesse Bail, who is making his bull riding return.

Even world champions can have doubt creep into their heads. But it's nothing a little mustard and a Bible can't cure.
