North Carolina A&T defeats Morgan State in the MEAC tourney final and advances to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1995....

Adrian Powell scored 14 points, including two critical free throws with 23.4 seconds to play as North Carolina A&T beat Morgan State 57-54 to win its first MEAC tournament title since 1995.

Sixteen of the first 18 shots that Howard attempted missed, and several hit nothing, paving the way for a 59-38 Hampton victory in the MEAC final on Saturday.
