Georgia's rebuilt defense had something to prove at the annual G-Day scrimmage, and they came through fairly well. Aaron Murray threw for 200 yards in a 23-17 by the Black over the Red.

Depth on the offensive line was a major issue for the Georgia Bulldogs in recent seasons, but with every player back for 2013, it's now a position of great strength.

Like all coaches, Georgia's leader wants to work on fundamentals and build team unity in spring practice, but most of all he wants competition -- in everything.

It's a good thing that freshmen Chris Mayes and John Atkins will be around for spring ball, as Georgia needs them to fill a major hole at nose tackle.

Just as the Georgia offense began to heat up, so did its defense, shutting Nebraska down on its last five possessions to key a 45-31 victory in the Capital One Bowl.

Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray shook off a nightmarish first half, and receiver Malcolm Mitchell atoned for a bad penalty, as the two teamed up on the game-sealing touchdown in the fourth quarter against Florida.

There were a lot of inexperience at inside linebacker for Georgia in 2011, but the experience gained should help the Bulldogs in 2012.

Entering Year 2 of the no-huddle offense, Aaron Murray and Co. have Georgia exuding the confidence that comes with knowing the scheme better every day and looking forward to even more productivity in 2012.
