A Miami-Dade County Circuit Court judge on Wednesday declined to dismiss a lawsuit Major League Baseball filed against a South Florida clinic operator and his associates alleged to be part of an ongoing performance-enhancing drug scandal.

Major League Baseball officials met Friday with Dr. Daniel Carpman, an anti-aging doctor whose name appears on forged prescription forms tied to a South Florida clinic suspected as a source of performance-enhancing substances for some players.

The South Florida clinic suspected by Major League Baseball investigators of being a source of performance-enhancing drugs for more than 30 players in some instances obtained the banned substances through forged prescription forms, according to documents.

Five more professional baseball players have connections to a South Florida clinic at the heart of a widening doping scandal, according to documents obtained by "Outside the Lines."

Anthony Bosch emerged over the years as a popular figure with Latin baseball players as he befriended a few player agents and prominent sports trainers, while tapping into the expertise of local Latin doctors versed in hormone therapies.
