The Heat finally nabbed a win on Thursday, and it came against the defending NBA champion Lakers. And in men's college basketball, the excitement of the Big East tournament continued as UConn's Kemba Walker hit the game-winning shot to stun No. 3 Pitt.

How did an NFL junkie cope with the first weekend without (real) professional football since August? Sure, there was All-Star action and the Grand Slam finals, but it was really the compelling hoops that kept our sports fixes going.
