For the second time in three weeks, the Redskins have re-signed a longtime veteran to bolster their defensive line, reaching agreement with veteran Philip Daniels on a one-year contract.

Defensive ends Phillip Daniels of the Washington Redskins and Ray Edwards of the Minnesota Vikings were each fined $5,000 by the NFL for what was considered illegal or excessive contact against quarterbacks in last week's games.

Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington, who has missed the last 10 games with a knee injury but is determined to get back on the field this season, will return to practice Wednesday, although it is unlikely he will play in Sunday's matchup against the Eagles.
