After sources indicated that the NHL's board of governors were set to revert back to the pre-lockout schedule format, the group was again unable to reach an agreement on the issue when it met Tuesday morning in Dallas.

The NHL's board of governors will meet here Tuesday morning and sources indicate the league will put to bed the thorny of issue of its schedule by returning next season to the pre-lockout format.

While the salary cap is set to rise next season, the NHL Board of Governors is set to solve another issue: that pesky schedule.
