This was a tough tournament for me. I feel really letdown, especially when I know that the majority of the bass are being caught flipping, and that's one of my strengths.
Day One on Pickwick went about as planned for me. I had good execution on the water, caught the bass that bit and basically did exactly what I wanted to do.
This is going to be an interesting tournament. You'll find I say that a lot, but not without good reason.

My performance here goes to show how much I have to learn about bass and bass fishing; there's still a long way to go.
Well, I didn't have a great day yesterday (11 pounds, 12 ounces), but I did make the cut and am fishing today (Saturday). Forty-nine anglers are done and will be wishing they were fishing.
I came into this tournament just hoping to salvage the first day. I didn't have a strong practice and felt if I could weather the first day, things would get better.
Today is the first day of the 2011 Bassmaster Elite Series season, and I've got my work cut out for me.
