Pittsburgh won for the first time as the No. 1 team in the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll, while undefeated Wake Forest's first win over North Carolina in four years pushed the Demon Deacons to No. 3 in the Top 25 rankings released Monday.

Sam Young scored 21 points, including two critical baskets in the final 1:51, as No. 3 Pittsburgh overcame 33 percent shooting Sunday to remain undefeated with a 56-48 victory over Florida State.

DeJuan Blair took control inside with 21 points and 16 rebounds, Sam Young and Tyrell Biggs scored 14 points each and No. 3 Pittsburgh came out strong in each half to stay undefeated with a 79-66 victory over Siena on Wednesday night.

Freshman Sam Young scored a career-high 16 points to keep Pittsburgh undefeated with a 58-51 victory over South Carolina on Wednesday night.

Chris Taft scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help No. 10 Pittsburgh remain undefeated with a 73-42 victory over Coppin State.
